We Are Americans

I had a dream last night where I was in a history class.  The Professor asked us a question about Israel, and the situation with Palestine.  He asked, since Palestine is insisting on taking land from Israel to form their own country, should Israel just roll over and let them take it or should they fight?

As I was waking up, I rephrased this into an American situation.  If Mexico wanted to take half of Texas, should we give it to them, or say "come and take it if you think you can?"

That got me to thinking about America VS European attitudes.  Our current President was never REALLY raised in America, place of birth being irrelevant.  He spent some time in Hawaii, then his mom moved him to Indonesia, and then he went back to Hawaii.  I spent 4 years in Hawaii.  They not only don't like white people, they don't like Americans.  Half the place wants its independence and thinks the United States conquered them.  Indonesia has a guided democracy.

I've explained guided democracy before, but in a nut shell it means nothing every changes, but they give the people the illusion of control by allowing them to vote.  They just don't tell the people that the ones they get to choose from feel the same way so no policy changes will ever be made.  I fear that's where Obama is leading us.  I only pray they made a mistake with Romney and that he will actually make the changes we need.

So, our President wasn't "steeped" in American ideals.  He knows nothing about American Exceptionalism.  When he said every country thinks they're the best, I have to wonder if he realizes that people aren't immigrating illegally into other countries in the numbers they are here.  I suppose you could thank him for his immigration policy.  If he makes us a third world country, and communist, we won't have to worry about people trying to get in.  They'll be leaving.  The problem is, where do they go?  It's been said before (and by Yuri B. who is on this site in a video) if America falls, where do you go to be free?

I will continue what I'm doing, even if Obama wins the next four years.  I may have to do it underground, but do it I will.  I have the attitude: Mr. Obama, if you want my freedom, come and get it.
